About PRBsports
So much for Objective Journalism. Don’t bother to look for it here – not under any byline of mine; or anyone else I can think of. With the possible exception of things like box scores, race results, and stock market tabulations, there is no such thing as Objective Journalism. The phrase itself is a pompous contradiction in terms.”
— Hunter S. Thompson, Fear & Loathing on the Campaign Trail ’72

PRBsports was originally launched in 2009 as a blog for me to express my thoughts on the world of sports. After some 1,500 plus posts, I decided to archive the lot in December 2011 and restart the blog at Christmas of that year in conjunction with turning 30. I decided it was a good time to restart the blog as a journal of my observations of following sport throughout my 30′s. By comparison to the last blog not a lot has changed, though rather than categorizing posts by individual sports, they will appear as features such as Daily musings– my day-to-day look at the world of sports in which posts can incorporate more than one sport; Liverpool FC — chronicling my borderline obsession with the club I’ve support for as long as I can remember, and beyond; Book reviews — on books with a sporting content; Always next year — a lighthearted series on the always optimistic world of Toronto sports, where glory is always just a year away; plus much more.
Everything as ever will come from a purely subjective angle. I will not hide the fact that as a fan of sports I support certain teams and athletes and as such might well favor them without apologies. The blog is a hobby and therefore I cannot promise how often I will actually write though the site stats page has shown that it has proven popular with those that have checked in to take a look.
