Belfast has a hand in the playoffs
Hockey | Monday 14 April 2008 by Richard BlayneyThat Belfast Boy – Owen Nolan scored the game winner last night for the Flames as they over turned an early 3-0 deficit to win game three 4-3. It now puts the Flames in the driving seat with game four in Calgary also.
The Flames dropped three goals in three and a half minutes but after pulling Kipper – who has been impressive to date in the playoffs – and replacing him with veteran Curtis Joseph the Flames began to rally. A huge hit by Cory Sarich appeared to be the momentum shifter, it got the crowd going and lifted the Calgary bench and they never looked back.
Good to see some Belfast influence on this years playoffs.
