Giving Lacross a second try

I wrote this article a year ago to the day on this site with the intention of getting into the National Lacross League since the season was due to start and since Toronto had a team in the league. I never came good with my ambitions though to get into the sport, I didn’t go to watch one single game and I never watched it on the TV either. But now a new season is on us yet again, and yet again I am making plans to try get some of the Toronto Rock games to see what it is all about once and for all.

But unlike twelve months before when I spouted a bunch of facts about who was who and what was what within the NLL, here is a brief look at what I missed out on in 2009.

My New Sport for the New Year – The NLL – National Lacrosse League

I have never been one to shun the chance to try out and get interested in a new sport. With the 23rd NLL season on our door steps and with one of the teams playing out of Toronto I figure red this might be an idea to give a sport a go that has plenty of tickets available, plays the kind of game I like in sports and reminds you of how sport used to be in years gone by. The kind of sport old people tell us about when they tell us that football and hockey aren’t what they used to be like and neither are the athletes.
